Favorite Designer: Sarah Richardson

Energetic, enthusiastic and eager to share her ideas with viewers, Canadian designer Sarah Richardson is a very busy girl. She runs her own design business, writes a weekly column for The Globe & Mail, designs signature indoor and outdoor furniture lines and is the host, producer and co-creator of shows like: Room Service, Design Inc., Sarah's House and Sarah's Cottage for HGTV.

Style:

Richardson is known for her clean, elegant, modern approach to classic style. "Calm, serene, elegant and understated. Always modern in approach and classic in inspiration. I love fresh, clean, classic and simple designs", she says. Sarah makes design accessible and inspires viewers with her innovative, fresh approach, her hands-on knowledge and her love of great style. She also places great emphasis on thoughtfully tailoring her work to meet her clients' personal style and taste. She combines creativity and well-honed skill to express her signature style through interiors with timeless appeal.

And here are some things, inspired by Sarah Richardson' interiors, which I love the most:

In Fall Shades - apples & pears

It's official - the fall has come. But those, who think that fall is boring, make a huge mistake.

Metropolitan Home’s Showtime House

Metropolitan Home's Showtime House, powered by Time Warner Cable, celebrates its second season with twin penthouses located in the luxurious Manhattan’s Tribeca Summit. 14 top designers transformed 14,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor spaces into stunning masterpieces of design, with the Showtime original series as their inspirations.

This year's incredible design talent includes Marie Aiello, James Biber, Christopher Coleman and Angel Sanchez, Markus Dochantschi at Studio MDA, Susannah Drake, Francine Gardner, Holly Hunt and Joannah Kornak for Holly Hunt, Andrew Kotchen and Matthew Berman, Paul Latham, Piero Lissoni, Kara Mann, Richard Mishaan, and Surfacedesign. Each designer has been assigned a room and an inspiring Showtime series, such as Californication, Dexter, Nurse Jackie, Weeds, United States of Tara, and The Tudors .

And here are some of my favorites interiors:

Appetite for Shopping

Lately I'm totally out of money. And as the new season has come, there are so many fabulous new things in shops. Luckily looking at clothes and trying them on is for free. So to not waste any more time, I'm right now getting ready and going to conquer the shops. Hopefully I'll prepare a long, long list of things to buy, when I've eventually get the money.

Fashion Olympics

The photoshot of Lucy Liu for Harper's Bazaar is simply fabulous. But what else can you except when the fashion editor is Rachel Zoe, and the photographer is Peter Lindbergh. Looking on it, I only can admit that whatever women do, they do it with a style.
